So, just who is the Queen? This has been one of our most frequently asked questions since the debut of our new website! Believe it or not there is a true story behind the whimsical Smog Queen cartoon. They began selling calibration gas and filters to smog check inspection stations throughout California. No elaborate catalogs or website, just a one page black and white pull out flyer. In 1990 their daughter began managing the automotive division. Over the years a one page flyer grew to a 50 page catalog with over 1,000 items and the nickname Smog Queen was assigned to her - the rest is history!
